Spaced Repetition Learning

Kevin Branigan

This isn't so much a post about something I've created but instead a post about the flashcards I've been reviewing as part of my progress of learning the Japanese language and world geography. I figured I'd post now that I've been doing it for over a year.

Using Spaced Repetition and Anki I've managed to learn and retain about 1700 unique Japanese characters and about 1300 words. I passed the JLPT N5, though just barely.

Also I know about half the worlds countries/flags/capitals now (there's so many). The daily reports really motivate me, it is definitely an efficient and relatively low effort way to learn.
